Hello! We everyone is having a wonderful weekend! This month, Ms. Malakoff and Mrs. Redding are going into all classrooms in Grades K-5 to talk to students about bullying, and what to do if you feel that you or someone else is being bullied. We reminded students that bullying is only if something happens over and over again (at least 2-3 times). There are three types of bullying: verbal, physical, and cyber bullying. We reminded students the importance of telling someone to stop if they are bothering them or teasing them. If the person does not stop, we discussed with students how important it is for them to tell an adult (whether that be their parent/guardian, teacher, bus driver...trusted adult). StopBullying.gov is a wonderful resource on what you can do as parents/guardians to help stop bullying. There is also the Silence Hurts Form on this website if you would like to report a bullying incident that your child has told you about (whether or not they are the victim or they feel someone else is being bullied). Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns! ~Ms. Malakoff and Mrs. Redding :)
