Hello! We hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! The past two weeks, Ms. Malakoff and Ms. Cox have enjoyed going into every class introducing ourselves and explaining the role of a school counselor. We also met with students in Grades 1-5 new to CHES just like us! We have one more group to do this week, and then we will have had lunch with every new student to CHES! It has been great getting to know every Clover! Please don't forget to check out the SILENCE HURTS FORM on the webpage. This form allows you as a parent or student to fill out anonymously (if you so choose) an unkind behavior you are a witness or victim of. Ms. Malakoff, Ms. Cox, and administration are the only ones who see the responses to this form. Next week, we are looking forward to going into Kindergarten and Fourth Grade classes for classroom guidance lessons. The topic for all grade levels in late September to October is Leader in Me's Habit 1: Being Proactive. We will be talking about how to prevent bullying in honor of Bullying Prevention Month. *Small Groups will not start until late October/early November. Community/Family Opportunities:

~Ms. Malakoff and Ms. Cox :) Hello! We hope everyone is having a great first day of school! We are loving that we are getting to know our Clover students! This week, Ms. Malakoff and Ms. Cox will start going into classrooms to introduce ourselves and do a fun get to know you activity with all grade levels! During the lesson, we will talk about the role of a school counselor, what we do, where our room is located, etc. By next Friday, we will have been in every class! If you are wondering what a school counselor does, the following link is from the American School Counseling Association that gives a brief summary of what elementary school counselors do: https://www.schoolcounselor.org/school-counselors-members/careers-roles/why-elementary-school-counselors Community/Family Opportunities:
