Hello! We hope everyone is having a great weekend! This week, Ms. Malakoff and Ms. Cox will be going into Second Grade and Third Grade classrooms to talk about Habit 3's Beginning with the End in Mind. We are continuing our career classroom guidance lessons that intertwine with Habit 3. In Second Grade, we will be reading the book Someday by Eileen Spinelli and then talking about the meaning of skills. Students will make their own "Ice Cream Sundaes" in which the cone lists the skills that they feel they are good at, and the career choices that match well with their skills. In Third Grade, we will be talking about what students want to be when they grow up, and they will be interviewing their classmates to gain a better understanding of the different career choices out there. We will also be watching a few career videos that talk about different career choices. On Friday, November 18, Ms. Malakoff and our reading specialist, Mrs. Steller, will be going with selected students in Grades 1-5 for our November's Brandermill Woods Nursing Home reading visit!
